A team from The Property Centre, including one of the founding Partners, Steve Jones, are running the London Marathon in April to raise money for a local disabled children’s charity in Gloucester called The Spring Centre. Supporting local charities, especially the smaller, underfunded ones, is important to us as a Company and whilst The Spring Centre is not high-profile, it gives invaluable support to hundreds of disabled children and their families across Gloucestershire. They are currently trying to fund a much-needed new playground, so all the money we raise will go towards that, but we definitely underestimated what was involved when we signed up. None of us have ever run a marathon before and it feels like the training has taken over our lives, but knowing that we’re helping such a deserving cause makes the long runs much more bearable.
